Hello from a new member
Hello,
I just wanted to say hello as a new member. I am an alcoholic but really want to recover and I have a desire to stop drinking.
Yesterday was my first day without alcohol for a long time. I think it's going to be very difficult, but I will try and take just one day at a time. Thanks for your support!

Glad you could join us. A desire to stop drinking. That's why we're here.
This is a fantastic sight. I found it 27 months into my Recovery. It's been a Blessing to me ever since. There is a tremendous amount of support here from people, as you can see, all over the world!
No matter what part of the world we live in, we all share the desire to better ourselves.
Hope to see you sharing for a long time.

Congratulations to you for making such a wise decision. I'm newly sober too - seven days today - and I wonder now what took me so long to come to the conclusion that I was an alcoholic. Anyway, the best to you in your quest for sobriety. You can do it.

Hey and welcome!
Sharing and learning here is a sgnificant part of my recovery. There is no other community like it that I'm aware of.
The more I check in, the more I feel that I "own" my recovery.
