hello to all.

hello, i am newcomer to the forums.

i am a greatful recovering addict. i am hitting my 60 days of clean living this upcoming thursday. just wanted to say that it has been a long 60 days, but it am seeing a true change in myself. i am in it for the long run and i love it.

i am glad i found this website. now i have a place to go since i have sometimes found myself just surfing the net on some of lowest times.....

lets see...a little bit about myself.

28 year olds / drugs of choice: cocaine & alcohol / sober date: 01/14/08
i am also currently doing an outpatient rehab which is super good.

i just got to a point were i wasnt me anymore, i was living for the drugs and they took over. i tried to quit by myself but it was just to hard, but with the proper guidance and my NA meetings, damn its working so far.

thank you.

Welcome - I went through outpatient rehab too for alcohol and the Counselor was so great!! I really believed she saved my life. She would kick your butt if you deserved it, but in a caring way.

Don't ever let down your guard - Addiction is powerful and is always waiting to raise it's ugly head!

Welcome to SR ochoa!

I only stumbled upon this site about 5 months ago. I'd been in Recovery for over 2 1/2 years and wish I'd found it much sooner. Like you, I'd surf around aimlessly on the net trying to find something worth while. When I found this I was elated! There are times when I haven't been able to get to a meeting, or when I can't sleep in the middle of the night or just need a quick Recovery pick me up, and here it is!

I can't believe how supportive everyone is on here. I see people at meetings who are too shy or whatever to share in a meeting. Well, that's not me, but I think for those folks, it's a great way to begin to share their feelings and ask for feedback which I hope will help them to open up at meetings eventually.

Hope to see you sharing with us for a long time.

God Bless & Thank God . . . Just for Today
Judy
