Thumbs up Did I See The Light?

Yep but not enough of it obviously LMMFAO

OK no joke you guys and gals

Addiction is a killer and it doesn't have to come in a form that we think would be a killer. Cigs UGHHHH

Yep killing me be azzzz...

Had multiple heart attacks and they had to put me into a coma in order to live.

10 days hospital good yeah no smoke

get out smoke

Something wrong with the picture here ehhh.

OK so here I am alive story not a ending YET!

Still not strong but want you all to know that days are very limited for all of us. I am actually sitting here laughing at my silly azzzz

So I am still clean? As far as other drugs yes but cigs no

I am starting a thread here. I saw the white light on my 3rd heart attach but it dimmed quick when I got out of the hospital. I have the patches and if we can use our Program for other things than it is time for me to start applying it to all of my affairs.

I will still keep my clean day but in a few minutes it will be noon my time and putting down the smokes. Just be here for me and listen to my little whinny azzz LOL

I LOVE YA

WE can do it together I know SR is a lovely family that has helped me each day and will continue as long as I am willing to do the work. Last smoke wish me luck...

Good luck Vic!

I've been trying to quit the smokes, too. I got a week without them, but started back up.

I'm glad you're back and posting!

Hugs and prayers!

I know it isn't easy...quitting the booze was much easier for me! It took six years in AA before I was able to quit the cigs...and, still I relapsed a couple of times under stress. But, I can now consider myself a "recovering smoker" of about 20 years...so, I know it can be done.

The hardest was when I got behind the wheel of the car.
I sucked on a lot of lollipops...you might want to buy yourself a supply of Tootsie Pops!

Good luck!! I shudder to think about quitting cigarettes, that's not an option for me right now.

Here's a tip: if you like it and can get some, try drinking lots of miso soup; miso is really healthy, and it actually cleanses your body from nicotine (pure miso is used in Japanese tobacco shops to remove nicotine stains from pipes). It's also yummy. Several ex-smoker friends swear by it.

Hope you stick with it. I quit when I was detoxing. I never want to smoke when I am ill. Lost my job though and my sponsor gave me some cigarettes and told me it is so much better than drinking. Can't argue with that but now I am wanting to stop again too. Good luck.

Best of luck Vic. I would think with such a dramatic wake up call quitting would be a no-brainer!

I'm glad you're back .

I'm so glad you're doing better Vic, you had us all worried there. And give the quitting a 'Chance' pun intended. Take care of yourself.

You can do it Vic. My husband and I just quit a 35+ years smoking addiction 15 days ago. I am still craving like crazy but I know that if I don't stay quit, I will not live long. Hugs, Marle

Well my adventure in the no smoking field sucks

Damn this is harder than any dope that I have ever gotten off. I relapsed already but I look at it like progress I will keep working at it keep cutting back etc.

Had someone come over to the house a little while ago and they are bringing a meeting to my home that is pretty cool **** man. I also had a good talk with my sister who said that I was trying to escape from the hospital during my stay LMMFAO they had to have a security guard watch me I kept pulling out all of my hookups

They must of had me on some good **** cause I don't remember any of them days. Well just a update my meeting will be at 6 in a couple hours I am going to try and get a shower God it is like baby steps at everything here. Never know what ya have until ya loose it .

Good luck Vic on quitting smoking. It is hard. I've tried before and did make it to 1 year once and that was when i was still drinking. LOL

I want to try and quit again but I'm waiting this time until I have more sobriety. I'm only 41 days sober and my friends in AA agree that I should wait right now.

It definitely a good idea to use the 12 steps to quit smoking too. I have a friend in AA that done that and she hasn't had a cigarette in almost 2 years. Also don't forget about the smoking forum on here too. Lot of good stuff on there.

I hope you make it.
