oh my gosh, my family!!!
oh my gosh, my family!!!
Mr. Rahsue and my children (all adults) know that I am working my recovery, so what does Mr. Rahsue do... oh this is good.....
My oldest son lives with me with his 2 dogs, well, Mr. Rahsue is downstairs watching TV when one of my son's dogs throws up all over the place, Mr. Rahsue has a weak stomach so instead of waking my son to clean up after his dog, he comes up and wakes me up, well!, I said sorry not my dog and turned over. It took him a good 15 seconds to realize what I said and go down and clean it up.
I am so proud of myself, hehehehehe.

Woooo Hooooo!!! And Double Woooo Hooo!!! Why? Because that's something my husband would do without even thinking for one moment to clean it up himself.
He thinks more today, because like you I have learned to say "Are you out of your mind waking me up for this when you know how to clean it up yourself?
Thanks for the reminder!!! It's so easy for me to slip into my codie behaviour even when addiction is nowhere in sight.
Hugs

Rahsue,
That was great. Just made me laugh outloud! Love it, just love it!
I often remark to my recovery friends that that phrase "practice these principles in all our affairs" that is stated in the 12th step really does mean what it says. I work my recovery on everyone in my life, not just my AD.
Way to go, you recovering woman you!
Hugs,
Hangin' In

My husband would not come and wake me up, he is too passive-aggressive for that. He would just stand in the middle of the room and let out a loud string of expletives that would be sure to wake me up. Hugs, Marle

That was great!!!!!
I wonder what mine would do? He could do like your H and come wake me up, or like Marle's H and make such a scene until I came to investigate and then take care of it, OR he would go ahead and clean it up and at some opportune moment (with others to witness) he would casually mention the dog got sick, something we should keep an eye on. I would then ask when and where, etc. He would proceed to tell me and say he cleaned it up, no big deal, etc. I can see the scene now. AND I would somehow manage to hear about it many many times! I'm telling you! These guys! I needed you all years ago! You go Rahsue! AND, you were able to roll over and go back to sleep! My hero!!!!!

Good for you!!!
You did better than I would have, because I STILL have to work on my sarcasm....my answer would have been "and at what point did this become MY problem?" before I went back to sleep
Hugs and prayers!
