Day 11
Here it is Day 11! I'm feeling really good about that.
However, I'm still picturing myself drinking in the future, but when those thoughts come, I just tell myself to focus on today only. Having said that, I DO need to think about the future as well. I need to get it through my head that I will NEVER be able to drink again. So I remind myself of all the reasons why I can't drink again. And then try to re-focus on today only. Plus I am probably going to go back to AA where I plan to work on recovering as opposed to just 'stopping'.
Anyway's, I'm hangin in there and feeling better about myself than I did 11 days ago.

think of the first one like the last one of the night
I know how you feel. I loved my first two drinks. What I think of my drinking bouts I focus on the last two of the night. Or that point when its was too much -which happened just about every time I drank/used.
15 days and counting less and less, but steill counting
good luck

Good for you!
Keep it in today. It will get easier the longer you stay sober. I never believed that when people told me that but I'm starting to find it true.
As you start to feel healthier in your new life, you won't want to poision yourself any longer.
AA is always good too
I've been following your posts and you are doing great!

Hi Tay- lyn,
I'm on day 11 too congrats! like you i often project to the future and get a bit panicky about it. However i know it's all about keeping it in the day - thanks for reminding me of that I'm in A.A and don't think i'd ever just be able to 'stop' on my own- like u i wanna recover to, and with A.A. i know i have every chance of doing so, so long as i am willing. All the best with your recovery
