Just got back
I just got back from Colorado yesterday. I answered one of the topics with this info.
I was visiting my first and only nephew who was born in December. It was a wonderful time!!
I even brought my sister to an Alanon meeting for the first time - the only alcoholic in her life is my AH. It gave her a new understanding of her big sis. And it impressed her with what we are there to accomplish. The meeting was on the 12th Step.
The week I spent with her and the baby gave ME new understanding of her and of me. We may be sisters but since I'm at least 10 years older we didn't really have a bond going. This week has opened my eyes to what my sister is and will be.
Before the trip my serenity was starting to fall bacause of the cold and snow in Illinois. Now, I have it back fully and don't want to let it go.
