hey all
I'm new to this website and I'm new to recovery. I put myself in rehab and landed here in Delray Beach Florida. This seems like a good place for recovery. There are a lot of sober houses and meetings all around. I'm from Baltimore Md. I'm happy to be here and be sober. I'm on the bridge so to speak, part of me wants to get back to Btown and continue my old ways. However, I know that I'm safer here in Delray. I like my old (crazy) way of thinking and it was a huge part of who I was obviously. But I know I am doing much better here. Well, just tryin to keep the vibes positive and see if I can't get around this new life. Alot of craziness is going on up there.....everyone stay casual...RC

Hey Reed- I can't even drive near Baltimore...I copped so much dope and coke up there...too many memories and slippery places. I'm from down Southern Maryland, near Solomon's Island...most people like us know it for the Tiki Bar opening...anyway, welcome, stay safe, be strong....this site is great!

Welcome Reed, it's a good place. All the best, and take it easy. I am also getting used to not having the 'crazy me', but I'm finding that I like myself more without the madness.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. As far as Baltimore goes for staying clean it is not a safe place. However, it is still home and I'm gonna go back someday-without a doubt. Being in a completely different place without my friends & old stomping grounds is, for sure, a huge help when it comes to maintaining my sobriety. I'm pretty fortunate that I only have to take care of myself and have no other reponsibilities. Thanks for listening.....-R.
