A Gift of the program

Fed ex just pulled up to my house and I got a present. My aunt who I found an alanon meeting about 30 minutes from her house for her a few months ago when her son got in trouble (believe me this meeting was not easy to find, she tried and got no where I found a number on the internet, left a message for a woman that lives 3 hours from me and this wonderful woman called me back) anyway, The fed ex lady brought me a package from my Aunt. The book Courage to Change!

The other day my aunt said to me "If I don't grab onto it, I don't have to let it go" and she quoted this book, page and all.

If that is not program in action, I don't know what is!!

Truly a gift, passing it on and sharing it with others!!!!

We can practice recovery, one day at a time!

Pauline

What a wonderful surprise and how sweet of your aunt. Gee, I want to get adopted by your family.

"The Courage to Change" is a wonderful book by Dennis Wholey and he has another book that followed called "The Miracle of Change".

At the back of the second book he wrote a small note to the reader, saying that if you had experienced a miracle of change in your life to write him and gave his address. I never write authors but something compelled me to write him and he send me back the nicest hand written letter and it just made me feel so good. I still have it with my book.

My oh my I do go on!!! You just got me all excited Pauline. I love these kinds of surprises.
