I'm a Great Aunt!!!

Little Daniel was born into this world.
The son of Emily K, (my neice, the first born daughter of my brother), and Rick H.
Daniel weighed in at 8 lbs, 15 ozs
LIFE IS GOOD ALL !!!
As in G*D made the world and saw that it was GOOD!
BTW, today is also my younger sister's birthday!!!

I was going to say something like, "OH, was a preciously little baby", but forget the LITTLE part! Move over...this boy's gonna be a bruiser!!! I bet he has fat little cheeks, right?

congratulations on your new grand nephew!
your post made remember when my niece called to tell me I was going to be a great aunt...
I was sick in bed and had taken some Nyquil. She called and mu husband answered the phone after she told him the good news she insisted that she tell me. He told her I was sick in bed but she insisted that I would want to know right away and that she wanted to be the one to tell me. SO he came into the bed room.,WOKE me up and told me Tina had to tell me something..
the conversation went something like this...
Aunt T...you are going to be a great Aunt!"
" oh thanks honey I am glad you think I am a great Aunt , what did you want to tell me"
"that you are going to be a great Aunt"
"Thanks Tina I am really glad that you think I am such a great Aunt, is there something you need?"
"Aunt T I need you to understand...You are going to be a GREAT aunt!!!"
SILENCE on my end of the phone...
" Aunt T are you there???"
" Tina are you saying what I think you are saying?"
"uh huh"
"a BABY????"
Now I am awake!!!
"You are gonna have a baby??? HEy I am gonna be A GREAT AUNT!!!"
I hope you enjoy that little guy as much as I enjoy all my nephews and my nieces !!!!

What wonderful news!. My mom was so excited when her nieces and nephews began having children....she said it was easy being an aunt, but it took someone really special to be a GREAT aunt
She called all her great-nieces and nephews her "greatnesses".
I think you, too, will be a wonderful Great aunt!!
