I can never come up with clever thread titles....
Good evening!
Its been 40 days today! I am proud of myself for keeping this up. I have been really depressed and anxious, but (from my past experience and reading other posts) I believe this is to be expected. Looking forward to when I do not have an ongoing sense of impending doom.....
In other news....I have decided that I am ready to quit smoking! I am going on 8 hours. I managed to not light up after work (which is usually a prime time for me) and do you know what I noticed?!? I was not so anxious....hum I maybe on to something here....
(sorry, I know this is mainly for alcohol...but I thought I'd share my nicotine goal since there might be someone here who can relate!)
- if only it were this warm outside!!! (on a side note, I have decided to treat myself tonight by turning my heat up so that I only have to wear 2 pairs of sock to bed! - whoa what a night!!!)

It takes awhile for the emotions to settle down and I remember moments of paranoia that would overwhelm me. Eventually they stopped, but it just takes time and work. Try to stay focused on your goal - you're doing great!

I tried turning up the heat but the furnace won't keep up *LOL*

I was so warm last night . . I ended up kicking off my socks! (granted I have many, many blankets on my bed plus 2 cats who keep me warm)
