mine is.....what's yours?

hi guys!!!

I am back from my dad's in florida. i can't tell you how much fun i had. it was so great to "get away" from it all for a few days.

since i have been home (christmas night), things have actually been going pretty good so far. it's only been a couple of days, but i'll take it!!

i had a long drive right by myself, i had lots of time to think and make plans...

so here's what i have decided~~

my NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION is.......

~to do some things for me and only me~even if others don't like my idea!!
~ not to work non-stop just to 'get ahead'
~to take the time to enjoy my own life, and let other's, including my daughter, deal with their life.
~to enjoy the good days with my daughter, and not obcess on the bad!

that's my story and i'm stickin' to it!!!

WHAT'S YOUR RESOLUTIONS????

I'm so glad you're back and sound really ready to take care of YOU!!

I'm still working on my resolutions, but am definitely going to get my own place, and quit smoking cigarettes. I think I will have to add a diet to the list, from the way I've been eating.

The main thing is, I'm going to do more of what makes ME happy and worry less about what other's think/feel.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

2007 has been quite a ride for me!
In 2008, I plan to learn to manage my money better.
join a hiking group, veggie group and
Start a jewelry making group. Make New friends!
Hmm, what else?
perhaps maybe an art date with myself once a week. I procrastinate on making art and I would like to change that.
Read up and learn more about communication techniques.
Heal my heart and continue to learn to love myself as I am.

Thats all for now!

This will be the first year that I carry over my previous year's resolution:

My inner brat/b*tch will NOT be allowed to hit "send" or dial the phone without speaking to a recovery friend first.

That resolution pretty much changed my life in 2007. I can't WAIT to see how much better it works in 2008!

Mine is;
1. to lose weight and exercise more
2. read more
3. Help others with their recovery, not addicts, but the family and friends.
4. spend more time taking care of ME.
5. Learning to love me for the first time in my life

I think this is enough to start the year with. I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, and pray that it is better than 2007

Quit smoking
which means no drinking
which also means a diet will be necessary

So here's my question:
If quitting smoking helps you to gain weight, then why are there so many thin non-smokers? lol

I'm not much for New Year's resolutions, but this year a Diet is something I really need to do, payback for all the goodies I have been eating

And I plan to take more time for my photography this year, it's something I love doing and really owe it to myself to make time.

Happy New Year everyone.

Hugs

Okay, I have a few:

1. Heal my relationship with my sister.

2. Start exercising, and keep at it.

3. Quit smoking. AND STAY QUIT!

4. Stop fretting over the little stuff.

5. Learn something new.

6. Laugh more

7. To do good things for the environment.

1) stick to an exercise plan
2) write at least one poem a month (and take an online class)
3) Gotta love Catspajamas resolution. Count me in.
4) don't 'use' no matter what and keep working steps
5) worry less, trust God more
