need help
i need someone to talk to i dont know what to do i just discoverd ether yesterday and i dont know what to do i have a sponsor but i dont want to wake him up please help me decide i cant do this on my own

There shouldn't be anything to decide, since your here, you know what to do. Do not touch anything tonight, especially ether. If you haven't called your sponsor tonight, then 1st thing in the morning.
Stay safe and sober tonight, even if you have to whiteknuckle it all night and call you sponsor in the morning.
Do not touch the ether, that is a path you do not want to travel down.

OMG...ether? They used to give it for childbirth 50 years ago...and, I hated it...knocked me out, but made me sick as a dog!!! Can't imagine anyone getting any pleasure out of the stuff. PLEASE...hold off, and get in touch with your sponsor as soon as possible. Actually, if I were your sponsor, I wouldn't mind if you called in an emergency...you need to discuss this with your sponsor, and determine what constitutes an emergency situation.

Look as a sponsor and a sponsee I can tell you that the best time to call your sponsor is when you are getting ready to drink or use!
As a member of AA I can tell you that if some one, any one in AA/NA needs someone to talk to no matter the hour I am more then happy to get a call at 2 or 3 in the morning, others did it for me. The fellowship is about helping each other 24 hours a day!

I didn't even know people could get ahold of ether anymore...yes it was used in childbirth and I worked in the labor and delivery room of a hospital and they gave one lady ether waiting for the doc to get there and this woman was allergic to it and just got stiffer and stiffer as they gave it to her...I yelled to them that they had to stop...& then the doc got there.
It should be very dangerous for you to use...please call your sponsor as soon as possible. I am glad you came here and please keep coming back...a lot of us hang out here though-out the day and evenings.

It's a few days since the "ether episode"...first day of 2008! Hope you have made it past this crisis and have a sponsor to talk to. In any event, keep in touch here at SR!
