Thumbs up TOPIC: Newcomers. Bringing Them Aboard. Showing Them How It Works. Very Rewarding.

Hi Im Sharon an Im an Alcoholic.

By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to take a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
grateful.

Just recently I was blessed with
the opportunity to guide and
pass on my own ESH with a
newcomer.

In all my 17 yrs sobriety I never
took on the responsibility to really
help another member just coming
in recovery.

Why u ask....well I guess i didnt
feel the confidence or courage
inside myself to personally
help another......

Im ok with sharing with others
one on one and not so much
as out loud in f2f meetings...

However i do suit up and show
up as an example of how this
program works....

It never ceases to amaze me
at how awesome this program
really works...esp. when i see
it unfolding thru a newcomer
right before my eyes.

And that is what is happening
to me.....All that was soooo
freely passed on to me from
others sharing their experience,
strengths and hopes has
allowed me to do so with a
newcomer.....

What an awesome reward.

All the knowledge I obsorbed
over the yrs is paying off as I
witness the miracle of recovery
unfold right before my eyes with
seeing a newcomer take this
program by the horns and
practice the principles and
12 steps provided to us in all
his affairs.

Try helping a newcomer urself
and reap the rewards ......
The program works if u
work it....

Thanks for letting me share.

My soul purpose in life today is
to help another alcoholic achieve
sobriety by sharing my own
experiences, strengths and hopes
with them.

In doing so I am granted another
day sober.
