a fast prayer please
a fast prayer please
Hi all,
I know where to come when I need powerful praying.
My SIL fell this afternoon and her arm is out of the shoulder socket, they are, right now, trying to place it back. If they can't she's going to have to be transferred to a downtown hospital to have immediate surgery.
Please send a prayer it goes back in the socket.
Thanks,

Thanks,
She's allowed to go home, they stabilized her arm, and she's not allowed to move it, they did a CT scan, and the Dr. will call her tomorrow to let her know if she needs surgery.
Big ouch.
She's pretty well medicated right now.

I wonder if this means she won't be bringing her awe inspiring green bean casserole for our Xmas dinner?
Just kidding, of course...(but nobody makes it as good as she does)
Thanks for the prayers....

I'm late, too, but I'm glad they got her shoulder back in the socket. I remember having to "re-locate" dislocated shoulders in the ER....all I can say is that is a time to thank God for pain medicine!
Hugs and prayers!

She's at home with the arm immobilized for a WEEK.
Dr. called and said the CT scan showed all went back into place, EVEN the fractured piece!
(our prayers here are POWERFUL!)
In fact the Ct scan Technician said it was a one in a million shot!
She's in GOBS of pain, but relieved there's no surgery for now.
(she's anesthesia phobic)
She also doesn't have any feeling in her right hand, so hopefully that's just a transient symptom and she doesn't have lasting nerve damage.
Thanks to you all for caring....

Moose,
Sorry I missed sending prayers out to your sil. I'm glad
everything turned out well for her. I'm sure she was scared
to death on whether she would have to have surgery or not.
Glad she doesn't. Praying that the feeling comes back real
soon and she's not in too much pain.
Also, a big prayer for that great green bean casserole.
Man! I love that stuff, too.

Glad she doesn't have to have surgery! I had surgery on my hand a few years ago and didn't have feeling in one of my fingers for about 3 months. I had decided it would never come back, but it did. When my hands get cold, that finger still goes numb...nerves seem to take a while to recover.
My mom had a heart cath done through the artery in her arm years and years ago and never got full feeling back in that arm. She said the GOOD thing about it was, that was the arm she always told them to draw blood work for her labs or start IV's in "'cause it didn't hurt as much when they stuck me".
Hugs and prayers!
