10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace

Today in the mail I received a newsletter from the rehab my RAD attended out in Calif. Of course the article titled "Letting Go and Keeping the Peace" caught my eye and posted were the 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace.
I wanted to share it with all of you.........

1. Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.

2. Don't die with your music still in you.

3. You can't give away what you don't have.

4. Embrace Silence.

5. Give up you personal history.

6. You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.

7. There are no justified resentments

8. Treat yourself as if you already are what you'd like to be.

9. Treasure you divinity.

10. Wisdom is avoiding all thoughts that weaken you.

Maybe you could add a few of your own to the list.

Peace............Lois

I love all of these, Lobo, but this one just caught my eye. Only this past year did I feel inspired to make my dreams come true.

A friend posted something about learning to love ourselves and that one little post was enough to light my candle of inspiration and I decided for the first time in my life that my dreams could come true if I were willing to take a leap of faith. I have never looked back and today my life is filled with good things and a career that is taking me places I didn't know existed for me.

We don't have to live in the problem forever, and when we begin to live in the solution and have faith in ourselves, inner peace will follow. It's just how it works.

Thank you for posting this, I needed the reminder of how blessed I have been and how grateful I am.

Hugs

Take the time to stop, be still for a moment, and look at all the beauty around you.

Beautiful Lobo, thank you.

I've also learned that my soul needs to be fed daily.

I believe those secrets are from Dr. Wayne dyer, I love that man.

He also has theses:
The 4 agreements:

BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

DON'T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

DON'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgement, self-abuse, and regret.

You're right Moose, that did come from Dr. Wayne Dyer.

Thank you for the four agreements, I've never read those.

Those four are from a very nice, slim book called (strangely enough) The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. It's a lovely read.

I am a Dr. Wayne Dyer fan also. If you ever get a chance to listen to him speak, I promise you will hang on every word. I have never heard anyone as inspiring as he.

This is from his book "Staying on the Path", and is a writing that has always inspired me...

~ Staying on the Path ~

Your circumstances do not determine
what your life will be;
they reveal what kinds of images you
have chosen up until now.

To change yourself,
look at what you fear
and what you hate.
Start There.

We are all at once teachers and learners
in every encounter of our lives.

What's over is over.
You did what you knew how to do.
It wasn't right or wrong or good or bad.
It just was. But all you've got is today.
You can't have it back.

You're always alone,
but you're only lonely if you don't like
the person you're alone with.

Your love is located within you.
It is yours to nurture and savor.
It is yours to give in any way you choose.
This is true for others as well.

If someone you love fails to return
the love the way you would like it returned,
that is the other person's choice.
It doesn't at all detract from your love.

Whatever is going on inside of you
is up to you. You own it all.
It's yours.

Get your nose out of everybody else's garden.
Get your own in order, and stop focusing on
everybody else's. Grow what you want to grow
in your garden.

All that you need
in order to have total happiness,
fulfilllment, and love in your life
you already have right now,
whoever you are, wherever you are.

Everything I ever worried about
turned out exactly as it was going to
despite my worry moments
to the contrary.

You mustn't attempt to will anything.
You need only be willing.

There is a rhythm to the universe.
When we are able to get quiet enough,
we experience how we are a part of that
perfect rhythm.

Advance confidently in the direction
of your dreams to live the life that
you have imagined.
That's when you have success.

Each of us has a well of infinite depth
within us, which contains more potential
for creativity than we can
ever imagine.

No one can depress you.
No one can make you anxious. No one
can hurt your feelings. No one can make
you anything other than what
you allow inside.

With everything
that has happened to you,
you can either feel sorry for yourself,
or treat what has happened as a gift.
Everything is either an opportunity to grow
or an obstacle to keep you from growing.
You get to choose.

When you argue for your limitations,
all you get are your
limitations.

Live...Be you...Enjoy...Love.

Thank you, Ann for the writing I really enjoyed reading it. I am a fan of those kinds of writings. I will keep my eye out for more of (according to Moose) Wayne's work.

Moose you crack me up.

I have the four agreements taped to my desk at work...I love seeing stuff like that as I go about my normal routine. It reminds me to let go of all the stress and just "be." I can't express in words how much that has changed my life...I live stress...it used to be my life...I always had to be perfect and excel and be the person who fixed everything. Now I still use the intelligence I have been blessed with and work hard, but I rarely stress out and I enjoy what I am doing and I really see how people enjoy working with me...wow...how amazing!
