hello everyone
hello everyone
hi , im cait from ireland,
im hope youll welcome me into your wonderful forum.
ive read it many times before and after i went into an addiction clinic for two weeks
today im three weeks dry (and very proud)
yesterday i attended a support group in the clinic i left last week, and spoke openly and honestly about how i was getting on
im a mum and housewife, and over the years was in denial about my drinking.
doing all the usual embarassing and humiliating stuff we alcoholics do.
i was in a terrible state three weeks ago....and cant believe what the difference sobriety has made to my life in that small amount of time.
i intend going to AA, and finding a local support group nearer to me.
fingers crossed for a sober future :praying

Hi caitlin! Of course you're welcome here, and congrats on your sober time. Three weeks is a great start, and I hope you find the support you need in AA or any other group.
I'm a single father and understand all about the humiliating and embarassing stuff, AA gave me the hope and help I needed to live a very fulfilling life.
Look forward to hearing more from you!

Hi caitlin,
Welcome to Sober Recovery!!! :ghug2
I hope you do find an AA Meeting soon near where you live...& a Support group.
This is the right way to get your life back on track.
I was a drinking single mom for several years and it was hard to work, take care of home & daughter & drink.
I love being Sober.

Hi Cait
This place I'm sure will be a big help. I am new here too - posted first post yesterday - I am from UK. Well done on your 3 weeks and I wish you well, like everyone else here. I've only just begun to stop after years of denying I had a problem.
Keep letting us know how you are getting on.
