It's not bothering me that much not drinking. -I wish I had know earlier that for some people quitting can be almost painless, and hence hadn't been so frightened of quitting.
Eric Clapton (famous guitarist) was on the TV last night (UK) talking about his life, and said he was gold-plated alcoholic for ages, and that it never bothered him when he quit in 1986 (after the detox period of course).
So if you're lurking here and thinking of quitting, you might be lucky like me and find quitting nowhere near as bad as you expected it to be. Give quitting a try and see how it goes.
