Okay, my family are HARDCORE Oregon Duck fans. Mom and Dad want to meet up and watch the game at this Sports bar. I know I probably should just say no and not go, but part of me wants to be there to monitor things, and watch the game of course....

I know what the right choice is, but my Grandmother is planning an intervention here soon and I don't want her to think something is up by my no agreeing to go. What do I do?

It's a sports team. Fan or not, you won't die by missing it. If it makes you uncomfortable, find an excuse not to be there. It's not your job to monitor anyone and you can watch the game somewhere else, and turn your attention to the intervention if & when it happens. Just my two cents'.

I wouldn't go to any event that made me feel uncomfortable regardless of the reason.
