I have been working on this very dedicated to it too! I can no longer allow others but, especially myself to sacrifice my own happiness in order to protect my parents/sibilings any longer!

I yield to joy

I can determine my own path to happiness. To be happy, I need to separate emotionally from my family; in so doing, I discover my inner resources. I discover my strengths.

I see that my survival does not depend on protecting my relationship with my mother or father at the expense of enjoying the rest of my life. I will not sacrifice my own happiness in order to protect my parents from feelings of inadequacy. I will not feel compelled to throw drama into my life by stirring up conflict in my relationships

If I’m feeling content and fulfilled, I will yield to joy. I find happiness on my own terms, in my own way. I determine my own path to happiness.
