I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and to share my gratitude for all of you here, no matter where you live.

I'm heading away mid day today and won't be back until late Monday sometime, heading way north for a weekend getaway to where the autumn colours are most beautiful north of Lake Superior.

May this weekend be a time of gratitude for all of us, remembering the many blessings in life, especially the blessing of friendship and love.

I love you all, have a wonderful weekend.

In the spirit of gratitude and giving thanks I have just listed three things I am grateful for today.
1. For this forum and all who walk with me in recovery.
2. For all the love I have in my life. I feel blessed for the special loving people closest to my heart.

3. For all the beauty I see in Mother Nature's perfect artistry,for the earth that sustains us all, and provides us with a bountiful harvest.

Frankly, Frankie (sometimes I crack myself up) I love the idea of listing things for which I am grateful today.

1. For a loving and gentle Higher Power who is always there whether I think so or not
2. For my dogs who continue to teach me about unconditional love
3. For my sons, who -at times- can bring me such tremendous joy.

Here's Toby hiding in my overnight bag, LOL, thinking if he closes his eyes I won't see him and maybe he can stowaway.

He has a wonderful catsitter who is coming soon, and he'll forget all about me in about an hour after I leave.

Colleen, that is sooo funny! My brother's family had a big orange tabby named Bob. Now their son has one named Bob Junior!

Ann, my cats do the same thing... they get in the suitcase or they sit on top of it so I can't open it or move it. They are very smart creatures, ya know...

Oh, yes they are the smartest creatures! They know what's up when we are busy with packing. LOL My cat gets "that" certain look on her face when she sees me packed and ready to go....it's priceless!

My kids loved the name Bob too.... (probably some drug reference there --- LOL!)
I wanted to name HER Molly..... they won,
People laugh when they meet our Bob, cuz she is a girl.....

Don't tell my kids, but when I clean out the kitty litter, I call her MOLLY!!!!

Sometimes when I go on a trip, I have been known to take out (2) suitcases,
one for Bob to lay on and watch me pack.

They hold a yearly convention, and just people with the name of "Bob" attend!

My friend has a cat named Larry and its a girl. It all started when she had 3 cats and named them Larry, Moe and Curly. Moe and Curly died and she still has her girl named Larry. ( :
