well, I told him 3 meetings a week or he has to live somewhere else.

so he went to meeting #1 tonight and I'm sure he'll make 3 this week, he's even going to an NA convention in MD this weekend. HA I guess I'm supposed to fall for this for awhile. I know he doesn't want to do drugs, but darn it isn't he supposed to be working a program to do so? We'll see what happens. I'm feeling strong today so I will work my program to stay strong and stick to my boundaries. A few prayers for me would be appreciated.

Hello,Rahsue! I am glad you have set boudaries and he is abiding by them. with that said yes he has to work a program or he will not get better but for now be happ in my opinion for the baby steps they are just as hard sometimes as the big ones. My AH has been going to AA now for 9 1/2 months and he has not really worked the program. he even uses it as a crutch sometimes. But with that said he knows if he drinks again he is out of here so each day of sobriety is a gift for me and our kids and for him the most. He is having a hard time at it. he is dealing with his own demons. Take each day as you can and remember this is not easy for him. Smile today and work on you and just maybe he will take your lead to recovery

Not to start a problem or anything, but the Convention was two weekends ago....(I know people who went - it was in Ocean City) unless maybe they are doing another one?

Regardless, at least he is getting to meetings. My prayers go out to you.

whoops - sorry, it was the AA Convention. NA is this weekend in OC. Just confirmed.

sun, I'm glad your husband has the time sober and I'll be praying for his continuation
