I tried unsuccesfully to stop drinking several times. It took a trip to a detox and rehab place (for 2 weeks and a day) and now with the help of that and AA I am 26 days sober and hoping for many more.

I was NOT a believer but now I am. AA is a Godsend - it really works. I look forward to meetings and I have made new friends.

Sobriety is amazing!

That is so inspiring. I really need to hear something like that right now.
I have been so reluctant to go to any kind of meeting. I have never been. But I hear I should. I am really trying to get the courage to go. You just made me that much more closer to actually making it to one.

What super news!

I was just left an AA party....52 of us from
2 days sober to 42 years.

I can tell you we had a blast....
so....stick around...the best is yet to come!

I still attend meetings even after 16 months clean. Most of us do. Why should I try to change something that is working. Hope that each of us get another day clean
