OK,
I was sober for 9 months in 2005, went back out after I got lazy with my program. Drank last on Sunday, so 3 days sober - 1st 3 days in a row in a very long time.
Going to meetings again, 90 in 90 is my plan & thought this site might be a good idea in between.
Thanks for listening

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to SR, and welcome back to recovery. I'm an AA person too - the 90 in 90 sounds like a great idea. I hope you keep reading and posting here. Fantastic site with wonderful people who are only too willing to share their experience, strength and hope.

Thank you everyone for the welcome - and yes I know what to do, Onward with day 4, started the day with a meeting and tonight I am going to see my old home group.
I have not been going to meetings where I used to go, felt kinda weird, but I think this is something I need to do...
Thanks again

A time for celebration, not despair
Hi Jeff - SR, and the non-judgmental, encouraging people who dwell here, have been the reason I haven't had a drink this past week. I didn't have any plans to actually stop when I did, it just sort of happened. The more I read, the more I knew what I had to do, and knew I would have all kinds of support - given with a sense of humor.
