Hello to All - New to this Forum
Hello All,
I wanted to introduce myself. I am brand new to this forum but not new to addiction. I have been involved in the field for a few years now. I have never been through addiction or recovery but have lost two dear close friends to the disease. I hope to contribute wherever I can and look forward to speaking with you all soon.
Cheers.

Hello Ready, welcome to SR. This disease just took the life of the mother of one of my co-workers. I'm so grateful to God, AA, and all the friends I've made in recovery for the support that's been freely given to me. I'll look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I got deeply involved in this field because of my past experiences. I also have a close friend who is struggling with alcoholism. I will do everything in my power to make sure he makes it out as strong as ever.

Not a counselor. Worked in a treatment facility then for a company that provided treatment for addictions.
Now my goal is to provide education on the subject of addiction because I still think it is very misunderstood in the general community.
