Red face Short Term Memory Loss

Does anyone else out there experience this? I am not talking about the alcoholic, I'm talking about me! I've had a lot of drama/chaos/stress going on around me lately. I mean, A LOT! I've noticed I can't remember half the stuff I did yesterday. I'm too young to be getting senile. Yesterday on the way home, my BF asked if we could stop at the gas station. When we got home, I couldn't remember if we had gone or not. This was only a few minutes later! Please tell me I'm not going crazy.....

Nope. If you're crazy, so am I! Too much stuff going on, too little focus! It'll get better as your drama/chaos/stress level decreases. Breathe, and focus, and remember, you aren't alone! (I've been known to put silverware away with the cups during particularly stressful times!)

Sounds normal to me! I used to keep everything stored in the brain, had no trouble remembering anything. But now with 2 1/2 years of sobriety my routine is to write notes to myself and go through piles of stuff at work and at home until everything's put away and accomplished. Otherwise, I'd forget half of it.

Now I know I'm not crazy! I usually throw the silverware in the trash and put the garbage in the kitchen cabinets;-) Lol

BECAUSE THESE WERE ITEMS I WAS CRAVING BECAUSE OF MY STRESS...mmm ketchup chips ) that was so annoying. also at work. I am asked to do little tasks...and I forget!!! I hope this passes.

Just tonight I was eating dinner downstairs on the tv tables. I went upstairs to get a bottle of water, opened the fridge door, closed the fridge door and came downstairs again before I realized I forgot to get the water!!! Now that is bad. Too much on the brain lately.

I love being halfway down the hall and forgetting what I was going to get; or better yet, forgetting I was headed for the bathroom. Sigh.

or... leaving your apartment, going to work, and realizing you forgot to lock your front door.

Yep...same as all of you. But the worst part is that now I talk to myself all the time either reminding myself of stuff, or asking what it was I am forgetting!

I haven't forgotten to pay my light bill yet, so I figure I'm okay.
