We have a new addition to the family

A 7-year-old former race horse named Erin. My daughter, owner and creator of a popular online SIMM game where players learn how to properly care for and race virtual horses, finally has a real horse to call her own. Sometimes long-awaited and well-earned dreams do come true. My daughter is on cloud nine. Cost to acquire the horse = $1,500. Look on her face when she the took the lead = PRICELESS.

Ohhhhh, that sounds so wonderful!!! I have always dreamed of having horses. I love every single animal on the planet. It sounds ridiculous, but I just want to kiss each one of them on the forehead. I think I almost like them more than people.

Animals are just my soft spot. Glad to hear about the addition.

Many years ago I worked with standardbred race horses. Wonderful animals. What an experience this will be for your daughter!

I always wanted a horse of my own when I was a young gal, too. But over the years I let that dream and others die and fall by the wayside. But not my daughter. She doesn't give up on her dreams. She dreams big. She remains focused on her goals and goes after what she wants with gusto.

Sometimes we moms can learn valuable lessons from our daughters: dream big, remain focused on our goals, align our actions with our goals, and live life to the fullest.

FD that is wonderful news! I hope she enjoys every hairy ounce! I had horses growing up from the time I was 5 until I was 15 (boys came in the picture LOL) and it truly was an escape for me-to just jump on and ride carefree into the wind! I remember those days well!

Hope she has it will be wonderful for her!
