My friend and I are thrift store maniacs. Yesterday, she commented on how since my separation, I have been buying more colorful things. I actually bought pink!! and am buying things that are not baggy. On the way home, she commented on how, when I was with AH 24/7, my memory was really bad. Now , she says, I seem to remember everthing, and am developing opinions.(my own). So, today,even tho the rest of my world is gray, I'm gonna wear pink. I am gonna like myself today.
I love the thrift store, and I love my best friend!

Way to go! I never bought much for myself while I was drinking my life and the life of my family away. I either thought I wasn't good enough to have something nice or I'd spend the money on booze instead. It took me awhile when I sobered up to figure out why I had so much extra money. Amazing how simple the answer was;-)

I like dollar stores myself. Nothing like a good bargain!

I love a good thrift store, too.
Matter of fact, I went to the Goodwill yesterday for a costume to wear to the Harry Potter party at work tomorrow night. Got some great bargains.
Plus 2 pair of shoes that looked almost brand new.
I'm a shoe connaisseur from way back. I must have 50 pair of shoes.
Most from Goodwill or Dillard's. (wide spectrum lol)
I'm happy that your "new" life is taking you into a better mindset.
Might be considered "good recovery".

So now i have on a pink ****, pink sweatshirt and my pink John deer hat, I am off to buy shoes. With it raining here (AGAIN), the holes in my shoes are getting my pink socks wet! LOL. So, maybe this pink thing will bring my phone to ring off the hook with job interviews, and my car accident settlement will close, so i can get my body fixed, and finish my divorce! So, I hope you all have a very pink day!!
