Contacted my State Representative
Contacted my State Representative
Decided to go to the top. I sent an email to my Representative. He had a child that was depressed and was on anti-depressants and committed suicide several years ago. He is really big on helping kids, so I thought what have I got to lose. I told him what happened with the missing person's report. I have contacted him in the past and he answered me and was helpful. Maybe he can get them to at least file a report and put out some kind of an alert to watch for my daughter and the abf. I figure it at least draws some attention to the situation. Marle
Good Move Merle.....it's such a sad and bewildering feeling to be a parent and mourning this active addiction stuff.
I go to work and everyone is bragging about their great children and I just hoped to God that no one asks about mine.
I wonder where you are Merle. I'm in Central NY.
God Bless You.

Prayers are with you. My ah has changed living arrangements several times, and apparently they often leave everything but the clothes on their backs behind. Usually he shows up again in the same place. I hope this is the case with your daughter, and you hear from her very soon. Hang in there, please keep us posted.

Good idea, Marle. I hope he will be able to assist you.
And don't let anyone make you think that your request to file a report is unreasonable. Here's a link to a Connecticut law that recently passed on prohibiting law enforcement agencies from refusing to file missing persons reports. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2007/TOB/H/200...273-R01-HB.htm

Mertzie, I googled Missing Person Report for Michigan and found a similar law except it does not say it is mandatory that they take a report. It did say that if the individual was with someone who could cause them harm. I think my daughter qualifies for that. I am pretty sure that Rep. Stupak will at least look into the situation. Thanks for the info. It should be a law here too. Hugs, Marle
