Something for those on the rollercoaster of recovery

When I read the 12 steps of Al Anon/AA , I've never had a problem admitting there is a HP who can handle my problems. Sometimes my HP is subtle and then other times He knows I need something VERY direct. Today he provided the very direct for me. It was and is exactly what I needed to hear.

I know I'm not the only one experiencing the huge dips and peaks of recovery. If you're there also, read the following. I hope it will help you as it helped me. Thank you, HP.

It really helped to read that post. Thanks for sharing and I hope your day is going well. Even though I am arecovering addict these al-anon and nar-anon pages are helping me to deal with some of the pain of having an addicted parent and alcoholic brother. My parent will never admit they are addicted but they know they helped me get started at ten years old, abusing pills. I am always told by the parent that I knew what i was doing, it's all my doing. I used to feel very betrayed by this but know that they are sick and while I didn't know any better then, I know best now and am starting my path of recovery. I hope your day is going great and thanks so much for sharing. All of you guys really keep me focused on where I have been and where I am going.

Many hugs and hope too,
Tammie

Thanks for the inspiration!

This weekend was a wild ride.... thanks for reminding me that the car stayed on the tracks the whole time.

Smile Hi (((Hangin In)))

I found your post, how about that..

Yes, my dh has put me on a roller coaster ride. Your post has put some positive to the situation.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Good luck to you my friend, and another hug your way.
