Book Recommend from the bookmiser...
Hi everyone,
Wow! Look at all the new faces. Heck, I've only been gone a few days and look at all I've missed. lol
While on vacation I've been reading alot. Duh! lol
Yesterday, we took my sister and my 5 yo great nephew to the aquarium.
Was gonna go to the zoo, but was afraid of rain.
The aqaurium was lots of fun. My great nephew really had fun.
He had to be chased after a couple of times, though.
I'm too old for this shite.
Oh, I turned 43 too. Thanks for all the birthday wishes.
Happy Birthday to you too, Out. Hope your day was fabulous.
Anyway, I'm reading this biography that was written by a mother and daughter.
It's called "Comeback: A Mother and Daughter's Journey Through Hell and Back."
It's by Claire and Mia Fontaine. It's about addiction and recovery.
The mother's account sounds alot like some of us moms here. The daughter's story is heartbreaking, yet uplifting and inspiring too. Pretty graphic from the young woman's point of view. Daughter's story is written in italics. I hope you all get a chance to read it.
I miss you all and my daily dose of soberrecovery.
Be back regularly next week.
Love you all,
Linda
p.s. Welcome to all the newbies. Glad your here for support and healing.

Books
Thanks for the advice on reading this book. I ordered from books a million and it came in a couple of days. I am halfway through it and have benefited so much from reading the daughters thoughts. (we know what the mom thinks!). I can't wait to read the rest. My daughter has been clean for over a year, but not working her recovery program. So it is like she is a dry addict/same behavours. . .
Thanks again for the post about this book.
