I just wanted to share my situation as I am happier now than I have been in a long time. OK, I've had 15 units of booze in the last week and no gear. Which, compared to my usual 50 units + and at least 1g, is an achievement and I feel so much better for it.

Also, I have finally settled in my new flat, taken everything from my ex's, which was messing with my head and making me go into self-destruct mode every time I went round there, whether he was there or not.

So I'm off the coke, I have my own place that is SO peaceful, and I'm actually coping with being by myself without feeling I need to numb myself with drugs/booze....I never thought I would feel like this. I'm so HAPPY!!!!

I think I'm on the way out of this dark hole that's been dragging me down for so long.

Thanks to everyone on SR too as I couldn't have made it without you!!!!

It's always good to see you here. That's wonderful you are off the coke and are drinking so much less - what's the plan? Moderate or abstinence?
