Me again
hey T4U
when I first joined here, someone said to me -' if you walk ten miles into a wood, you can't expect to get out again in a few steps'...
but you gotta be prepared to take some steps (and I don't necessarily mean AA type steps if that's not your bag, but don't just sit there, do something !)
even if it is just posting and reading here regularly
hope to see you around more

Every night, before I go to sleep, I say, "Please watch over the still sick and suffering alcoholics and addicts." That includes an awful lot of folks, in and out of the rooms of AA/NA...just because we quit drinking/drugging, it doesn't mean we are suddenly happy and care free.
When I first quit, I was in a great deal of emotional pain, and I took offense to someone saying, "Pain is optional," because I knew for sure I didn't want to feel that way, if I had a choice. Then I read in one of the program books, "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional." Ah, hah! That made a whole lot more sense...do whatever it takes to get/stay sober...and, don't beat yourself up over your shortcomings...you're only human, like the rest of us.
