Please Pray
Not for me but for my RAH family. A family member attempted suicide last night and is in a coma. They are not sure about brain injuries as she went so long without oxygen. He is having a hard time with this because she used to babysit him so much (she has a son his age) when he was little. Her husband is struggling. She suffered from deep depression for a couple of years now. Her husband was attempting to find a bed in a hospital all day and no one would take her.
I just ask that you pray for her and for the family. Its hard on all of us.

I just can't imagine how depressed someone would have to be to actually do it. At my lowest points, I've thought about it, but then thought about reasons not to and found someone to talk to.
JWife, It is a totally irrational thought process that makes people attempt suicide. I tried it when I was 20. I was not at my lowest point. People rarely attempt suicide when they are at their lowest. They have no energy for it. It is usually when they appear to be doing better. That is why it is so unexpected. Or it will be one precipitating event. A young man recently committed suicide here after a fight with his father over a car. Another boy who was just 15 did the same after a fight with his mother over his grades. And a young man I knew well seemed to be getting over his breakup with his girlfriend and was planning on a hunting trip with his dad and uncles. Went back to college seemingly in good spirits and saw his girlfriend with another boy and went back to his dorm room and hung himself. So knowing someone is depressed and knowing that they are suicidal are really two different things. The really tragic part is the guilt that the survivors feel when someone succeeds. But I know for me, I did not think of what I was doing to the people who loved me. I just did not want to wake up. Hugs, Marle

I'm so very sorry this has happened to this woman and her family.
She must have been suffering for so long. Praying for her and her family and friends.

Thank you Marle---I just haven't been all the way to that point so I know I won't understand completely.
Thank you book
My RAH called. He said that the family was going to have to make a decision as she doesn't have any brain waves and is not responsive. This is hard. I am so sad for them. I am so sad period.
