I went to a new alanon meeting hoping to find one that finally really "clicked" for me (I have met some wonderful people but still haven't found the right meeting). There was an AA meeting going on at the same time in the same building. Alot of the alcoholics and "Alanoners" were standing out front smoking a cigarette waiting for the meetings to start when I walked up. I noticed right off the bat quite a few men my age that I was IMMEDIATELY drawn to. Not a "looks" thing, but an immediate attraction like the one I felt for my XABF. I swear there were 4 guys I would've wanted to go out with. Of course they ALL went into the AA meeting!!! Wow. That's a strong magnetic force there! Scared the heck out of me. Guess I know when I feel that in the future to RUN THE OTHER WAY! Kind of sad. I never noticed it before. Never had a relationship like this one before either!

hey dobie, i'm glad your going to meetings and seeking out one that fits for you.

situations like that tell you something about yourself. i think it tells you to look at yourself and see why you might have that kinda reaction. what is it in you?
