Hi again....
Hey guys,
I know none of you should have any reason to trust, or respect me. every time I've come in here I've lied. this stuff is killing me. I set a date, 3/15/09. That is one year and 9 months from today. that is the date my son/daugher will be born. Chase or Chiara. I know my wife and I need a sober year before we try to have kids. I'm athiest but I'm going to church this sunday because my wife want's me to. I'm looking foward to it. I think I need the interaction with people. I have a company that I was supposed to be at today, I stayed home, my store was closed. the good employee that was working there by himself everyday this week couldin't make it in (ON HIS DAY OFF!!!!!!) I'm a mess,. I wish I had a local sponsor. I'm scared to tell my parents, my employee is great, but he's a kid. My wife is a quiet girl, she has to deal with this too, if I get through it, I can pull her through it. I need help guys.. anything. I'm sorry I've been a pest here,.

Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, that our lives had become unmanageable.
Tried AA yet? For over two years it's been a solution for me. Not bad for a guy who drank for 27 years. That's my suggestion.
You're not a pest Casey. Just keep coming back, OK?

Hi Casey,
I'm glad you're here. You're definitely not a pest and I'm glad that you have made a decision to stop drinking. There is lots of information and support here, so I hope you keep reading and posting.

Well, you have come to the right place, if you're looking for a change. Change and recovery go hand in hand. And, I think your decision to have a year of sobriety before having a child is very wise. Children are a huge responsibility and will add a lot of stress (though most of it will be good stress) to your life.

I wanted to be that father for 9 years after my kids were born, but couldn't admit that I had a problem with alcoholism. It's not too late, Casey. Now I'm the father my children always deserved to have.
