Hi My name is Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.
By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent had a
drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and YOU I am truely
grateful.
From time to time we post this
question to SR so the Newer
members just joining can introduce
themselves to us and see what
other members screen names
stand for.
Mine is aa....sharon....90
aa for ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS...
Alcohol which was my drug of choice
when i entered rehab some 16 yrs ago.
Of course sharon is my name....
and 90 stands for the year 1990 when
I got sober.

One of my many hobbies is amateur astronomy. Yep, I'm a dork with a telescope collection;-) I also use the same name when I play paintball and post in a paintball forum. Funny, but on my astronomy forum my screen name is AzScott since my name is Scott and I live in Arizona. Go figure!

My name stands for the way I feel attached to my Meth Clinic and the liquid is how we drink our dose. So therefore Liquidhandcuffs I have on until I am finally off . Recovery will be the key that frees me

Like many in the Friends and Families section, I named myself for the person who got me here. Originally, it was my little sister - addicted to meth, pot and alcohol.
Six months later, it was my daughter... but the name was already registered, so I kept it.
PS - Today, both my little sister AND my daughter are sober... and I am soooooo grateful.

When I first joined I had the user name Aspire because I was aspiring to get clean/sober, a friend of mine from new york sent me a book as a gift in it she wrote " To my first indigo adult" I liked the name read the book and decided that was the name for me.

Mine is because I Knit = Purl part of my name
But is also a play on words from the Bible- Casting Pearls before swine - what I feel I am doing some days with my ah - casting my gem of a life before him.

we are traveling on and the many people
we already know and those we don't and
yet. And yet we are all walking along together
helping each other, encouraging each
other, rooting each other on , side by
side....hand in hand....
WHAT A TERRIFIC JOURNEY WE ALL ARE
ON..... Just AMAZING.

AllaFlutter...I love butterflies..symboizinf changing life and a free spirit.
I do not alwasy feel free but if I do know my entire life has changed and continues to change.Flutter is the way i feel sometimes when I am struggling...much like the Butterfly struggling to be free of the cacoon that was its birthplacee
If I keep doing what i am doing....I will be free....i know becasue it whas been promised..it has been affirmed

I took my name from an amazing, life-affirming book by Herman Hesse, about self-discovery. I'd really recommend it if you're feeling down.
