Smile 5 days sober :)

I have finally made it 5 days sober and doing it on my own!! I actually decided to give it up a week from friday but ended up caving this past monday. Have not touched a drop since! YAY!
A problem though... I am feeling some major physical effects from not drinking(withdrawl symptoms?). I have all the sudden felt the urge to vomit, I have started getting headaches, body aches, etc.. Is this pretty normal and how long should I expect this to last? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? This part really sucks. Blaa!

Thanks to everyone on this board, I am addicted!!

Good for you!...

I suggest you check with your doctor ...be safe and sober too!

Are you aware of PAWS?

Take care...

Pretty normal for 5 days...

By the way..congrats on 5 days!!

I think it best to have medical care...

A lot depends on how much and how long you've been drinking..

Please read the link Carol posted!

Good luck and keep sharing on your progress..

You have friends here.

Love,

IO

There's a thread somewhere in one of the forums called "What to expect...." It's what a lot of us went through when we quit, physically.

As Carol pointed out, A Dr. is your best bet. De-tox from alcohol is more fatal then de-tox from herion, IIRC. And, it's not very fun either....

I agree with RustyZ on this one. Keep on keeping on it does get better, a Dr. appointment to give you a checkup is a very good idea too.
