SR Newbie Here
Hello Everyone,
Been reading the threads for a while now and finally felt the need to introduce myself. I'm 46 days sober thaks to my all-out war against alcohol. After my first DUI arrest I decided it was time to dry out for good after many half-hearted attempts. Checked myself into rehab for a week, am taking Campral and Naltrexone, seeing a Psychiatrist, scheduled for weekly oupatient appointments and coordinating everything through my employee assistance program. I go to 6 AA meetings a week and have a sponsor.
Well worth all the effort. It was tough in the beginning, but life gets better everyday!
I read SR at breaks and lunch, so any posts will be short and sweet. Look forward to being a part of the SR community.

Welcome R2R, glad you're here! Congrats on your first month & a half.
The best part about reading your first post is hearing that you're making it to 6 AA meetings a week. That's awesome, I hope you continue to attend.

Congrats on your sobriety!!! I'm still trying to decide what to do. I've been to a few AA meetings, been reading lots of books and websites. I know I need to quit, for an AWFUL lot lof reasons, but the part that wants to drink keeps gaining control.
Congrats again.

Hello there R2R, I am so glad you are here!!! Congratulations on your 46 days, the first ones are the hardest!!! Always remember how you felt on the last day you drank, and the morning after, it will help to keep you sober, you never have to feel that way again!!!

Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome! It sure feels good to get support from Cyber Buddies. This site will be my on-line fellowship.
Bald-Headed John, you are off to a good start. Keep it up and don't be like me and wait for a DUI to push you to commitment. Sobriety doesn't have to start on a negative note!
AN AA oldtimer asked me a year ago:
Have you had a DUI? "No"
Have you been divorced? "No"
Have had a bankruptcy? "No"
Have you lost your job? "No"
His response to each of my answers was "Keep drinking"
Sure enough, they were starting to come true.
Great to be here -- I'll "Keep comming back".
