Attended my meeting last night, feel amazing!
I attended my first meeting in 35 days last night and I feel absolutely renewed and refocused on myself! It's amazing because for the last month that I was drinking again, I felt judged by everyone, family, friends...just everyone. For the first time in a month I didn't feel like one single person was judging me, makes me very sad that I had this relapse but I am so focused on recovering! I don't know if I would have actually gone to my meeting last night if I hadn't found this board yesterday, so I am very greatfull that I found you all!
Funny, in a room full of judgemental people (alkies, in general, are really judgmental), there is no judgement when a newcomer walks in. Just acceptance, and a genuine desire to help.
Pretty cool if you ask me.

The 6 times this "oldbie" reentered the rooms of AA as a Newbie..
I was welcomed with nothing but unconditional love and gratitude from my
old friends that i was still alive...
I am so glad you found AA..
They're sort of like God..
No condemnation..
Love,
IO

Hi Tiffany
I am so glad that your meeting went so well!! What an awesome feeling to be so focused on recovery and determined to get well again. I also found this board yesterday and I have to say.... It has already helped tremendously and is keeping me focused on making myself better as well.
Take Care!!
AJ
