its done
Well, it is done. My A was served separation papers today. I am a little miffed though because several things got screwed up. One, I was supposed to fax updated papers and then they were to serve him tomorrow (so I could talk to him tonight) and secondly, apparently what he received says dissolution of marriage instead of separation. Of course I couldn't get a hold of my lawyer tonight but I'm a little worried that things are not right.
All in all, I feel pretty good. A little nervous because I don't know what's up his sleeve right now. Hopefully, all will work out okay. My biggest concern is my children. He cannot be trusted to be alone with them for a weekend and I hope the courts see that. He was passed out drunk 2 weekends ago when he came to "see the kids." You can't do that when you have twin 1 year olds.
Has anyone else been through the system with small children? If so, how did it work out? I think he needs many more months of sobriety before he should get them alone. It's just too dangerous.
I want to thank all of you for your continued support. I get so much good advice and encouragement from you.
