She is a SHE Teke.. and she is now 39 lbs. I expect she will go 80 pounds when she is full grown.
She is very smart and moves very smoothly. I got her at this age as the breeder was trying to decide which dog to campaign as a show dog and could not afford to do two. I chose this one. both were very showable dogs.
I don't want to show her other than MAYBE obedience.

Obedience great for Germans. i used to know a breeder of shepherds here, I don't know if she still breeds or not though sure on internet could find out it was Zandaam that was the kennel name. They were beautiful, intelligent and obedient dogs. she showed at crufts and did loads of agility with some of her dogs. I would love a German Shepherd (prob because of their loyalty and resemblance to the wolf!) but I don't have the time to spend with one So I live with a love a beautiful mongrel!

She looks sturdy and has that steel eyed look that shepards have. I have had several.
Also, one white wolf, she was about 100 lbs, and as strong as a moose.
My last shepard was named Heidi, she was a great companion and friend.

believe it or not, i have a bad habit of calling all babies "HE" or "HIM". its just a goo goo ga ga kind of thing i do with babies. i love them all

S'Ok Teke.. I plan to spay her so it won't matter much anyway.
I have a person I know who does agility with border Collies. I almost got a Border Collie but I feared they would have more energy than I could keep up with. Shepherds have energy too and need a job. We will get there.
Yesterday I had a dental appt in the AM, then I gave blood and at the end of the day I Picked up Atka. Of course she cried a little about being alone last night but got over it fast.. but I did not sleep much.
Then, this AM we were out for our walk for over 2 miles. I have to go out now again.. and it is raining.. yuk.. I think we all will sleep tonight! LOL
(BTW they teased me at the blood donation.. and said not enough people came out so they were going to start draining the people who showed up..

Wow! May you have many wonderful years with Atka by your side.
She has the noble, confident, intelligent look and is beautiful.
German shepherds really like to work. When my granddaughter was growing up, her
german sheperd used to shepherd her when she was learning to walk. He would nudge her up when she tumbled. LOL
