The rollercoaster ride...
Hi All - so yesterday I posted that my SO supposedly in recovery who asked me for a 2 week break (after a period of being very mean, angry, and hurtful to me when he was quitting drinking) is having a party this Friday and invited my best friends! I was very upset! It has been 2 weeks today, no contact from either side! I am so proud of myself - I never thought I could do this and I did! Yeah!
Anyway - last night, he sent me the invite to the party! It was the general evite, no note or anything specific to me. I deleted it right away! I will of course never go - just don't get what this means? Since the 2 week break he wanted is over, is this his way to try to connect with me again? Did he invite since he knows that my friends would tell me? All I know is that I can't get to back to the way my life was - I miss him, but my own sanity and health is too important! I do of course want him to want me since he did hurt me so much so wonder if this is a sign that he is going to try to make an effort or means nothing!
btw - if he is actually recovering, why is he having a wines of the world party???

My A contacted me today after 9 days of no contact with him. And BROTHER it was an ONSLAUGHT!! Email, phone, carrier pidgeon,,,lol
One of the wise man on this site, pointed out to me, if I responded, I was falling into his "web" essentially. Just another form of manipulation so he can continue to drink.

Heh - wines of the world...will that be followed by "beer of the future"? 
If he is anything like my ex, throwing a party with no alcohol is only something losers and boring people do.
