Things aren't as rosy as I thought
Now that my as is settled in the rehab, I got a phone call from his friend's dad who told me he gave him an ultimatum, either street or rehab. He caught him with perc's and has noticed over the last few weeks that he all of a sudden didn't have any money, even though he was getting paid every week. I told him I knew that scenario well.
So he really didn't make the decision on his own. But the friend's dad, told me he knows someone that works at this rehab and told them to keep him there as long as they possibly can. And when it's time for him to get discharged, he would have him stay at his house again, to keep an eye on him. Says he's has too many friends die from addiction, and wants to make sure my as doesn't go back to using. How lucky is he and am I to have such good and caring people in our lives. I don't really even know this man, but I can't thank him enough for taking on this burden.
For that I am lucky and grateful.

i think its still good news, at least he is still in treatment, don't really how or why he got there. now lets pray that he recieves the help that he needs and is willing to stick with it. yes you are blessed to have someone in your lives to help look out for your son, and i'll continue to pray that god will lead him and guide him to where he's suppose to be.
Sending prayers that your son is willing to accept his powerlessness over drugs and is willing to accept the help no matter what the circumstances were that got him there. I think that people are put in our lives for a reason. This friend is there for a reason. Hugs, Marle
