Just wanted to let you all know that I'm reading. As of late I've been rather silent, but I'm still reading. This is very difficult for me. The things you folks post are very inspiring, and I'm going to get there some day.

I just wanted to say thanks.

Sometimes it is good to be it can bring out the Spirits that are in us! I am glad that you are here fade and if you ever need to talk just give me a holler through the PM or email I am here as are many of us. We all get there only through the day that we are given and that is today.

This is so hard, it seems impossible, but there is so much support here. I thank all of you for that. I could be out getting smashed right now, but instead I'll just sit and read.

Hey Fade I know some people from SR that live in Detroit hum I haven't talked to them on the phone for a long time. I might have to check out how Bob and Blue are doing! Wow that just lifted my spirits thanks!

I'm sorry that you're struggling - but I'm so glad that you are reaching out and letting us know that you're with us - we need you here.
If there is anything that's on your mind that you need to share, please do. You don't have to go through this alone, and sometimes just sharing what you're going through eases the burden somewhat.

Hanging in there the best I can my friend. I'm just going through withdrawals like crazy. I could so easily go buy a 12 pack...but I'm not going to. I'm gonna be strong, although I feel helpless. I know it's going to happen sooner or later. It's scary.

One thing is that Just For Today we don't have to drink or use.

I know it is hard, but if we can all do this I know that you can too.

Withdrawals - PAINFUL - I feel for you. It doesn't have to happen, you don't have to give in to it. I understand that you feel helpless, powerless, whatever .. but this doesn't have to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Relapse, I mean.
I never thought I would be free from alcohol and pills - EVER - but it happened. And it was one he** of a rough ride getting here. And I'm struggling tonight, too. I just came from a meeting. I don't want to drink, but the painful feelings are there - so - I come here and share a little, read a little, and see that I'm not alone in this.
You're sober tonight. Tomorrow is a new day - we can tackle that when it gets here.
