hello all im new

hello im new to this one, ive been reading for some time but now i will be writing to. i do want to drink but i know its not realy what i want but what can we do
if we dont.

I can feel your drive from your post. Welcome, this is a wonderful place where you can see examples of so many things sobriety brings. You are right because being sober is to be alive, letting the disease win is to let the spirit die slowly.

And i am sure it's amazing what you can do with yourself

Hi sandunes, I'm always happy to see a new face on SR.

Sobriety is a one day at a time deal. Nobody's ever died from NOT taking another drink. I know that if I can make it to bed tonight without drinking I get to wake up tomorrow and do it all over again.

It's worked for over two years for me, so I'll keep trying.

I know it is awkward to think of life sober right now...but give yourself a little time, and before you know it, you won't ever know how you made it drunk!!!
