Hello everyone

Hello everyone, today is a great day as I begin my journey towards getting my life back. I am an addict and alcoholic and I felt today being 4-20 that it was the best day to start a clean fresh life.

I'm new to this sobreity thing, too

I began my journey to sobriety 11 days ago and I can tell that this site is going to be the perfect place for me to find extra support and understanding I need to continue--especially on a Friday night!

Bob Marley - it's the date of his death, I believe. My friend has a teenaged son and apparently it's a big day to get high.

or maybe it's an urban legend. I found this:

4:20 or 4/20 (pronounced four-twenty) is a term used in North America as a discreet way to refer to cannabis and, by extension, a way to identify oneself with cannabis culture. Phrases such as "420 friendly" sometimes appear in roommate advertisements, indicating that the current occupants are tolerant of cannabis users.[1]
