Same happens for many when trying to stop smoking.
Even cigarettes deliver sugar to our system and it becomes an addiction of sorts hidden among the larger problem.

my daughter got up in the middle of the night and ate chocolate for about the first month, maybe longer. she got so sick of getting up, she started just keeping it on her night stand. it's ok.

have you tried sucking on hard candy? she said that really helped too!

blessings, k

Your too funny. I have done that too after smoking.
They say sweets releases a chemical almost the same as drugs and alcohol do. Especially chocolate.
Only thing I can think of.
