He went to work!
Thank god!
He didn't go yesterday, but he went and worked with a friend. Today, he went to the job at the art studio where he has such a wonderful opportunity. I was so proud of him--
It's funny how him just doing what people are supposed to do makes me feel proud. I'll take what I can get, and I'll be proud of him for being the best he can.

I'm glad you found some happiness in your day. As they say...One day at a time and enjoy each day as it comes.
I know what you mean...
When exah used to come through with what he is supposed to be doing I mentally say..."That's all I'm asking for."

The best part, when he got home last night, he'd had a really great day. I told him that I knew he would--when you're doing what you're supposed to be doing (and I don't mean "supposed" in a moral sense--I mean "supposed" in the sense of following the plan your higher power has laid out for you), things fall into place, and life FEELS good. He even thanked me for putting him in a position where he felt pressured to go, and he knows he made the right decision.
I always found that funny about myself and those around me. Always so proud of me for doing the things that you are "supposed" to do in the first place. I then realized how bad it had really been. Do you really deserve a pat on the back for being a normal, good, responsible person??
