I Got A Great News Last Night! :^)
My Rabf called me last night and gave me good news.
As many of you know i haven't seen him since September (when he admitted himself into a 90 days rehab and than into a 70 day program) and have been waiting with baited breath for when i can go and see him.
Well he was suppose to go to a halfway house sometime after april 17th. But the good news is they decided to allow him to go there early. Early in the week he was worried because the program thought that his medicaid was going to be shut off and he would have to return home for a month and go to the bottom of the waiting list to return to treatment.
but he left for his new placement this morning!!! how wonderful it that!!!! Everyone is so excited about him going there. which is so different because we were generally nervous when he would go to a new place and would worry about him. (not because he couldn't take care of himself but because he was so resistant to the programs he would often leave when he needed to face his issues).
but everyone involoved in his life has learned so much about addiction and enabling and recovery everyone is so happy confident with life in general and his continued success.
Wow im just so proud of him, words can not express how i feel.
I have no idea when i'll actually be able to see him but that's ok.
happy, happy, joy, joy
happy, happy, joy, joy

I imagine in about six to eight weeks but i'm not worried about that. it'll be a walk in the park opposed to the past seven months of waiting.
i'm actually proud of myself because thoughtout this whole process i have been learning, reflecting and working on myself. for me it has been hard but it has also been worth it. :^)

Polly, this is terrific news and I'm grinning from ear to ear just feeling your excitement and pride in your boyfriend and in you! There are some benefits to this journey, and getting to know ourselves is a big one. Happy hugs
