last easter my mom was going through chemo and radiation for lung cancer........she was weak and tired and had no appetite......

easter was a very good day for her.....she ate well, felt good and was very happy......the oddest thing is that when my mom had cancer she was happier than i have ever seen her.........she was surrounded by children....i lived with her with my three......and she was truly happy.......

this is her with all of her grandkids last easter........

As with Easter and all holidays, she will always be a Big part of the celebration. To Be able to look forward to the holidays for your own personal remembering and meditation, I am happy for you to have Happy memories. She has given you strength and set a good example, how precious that can be. You are blessed and just one day at a time, sometimes for me there immpossible.
I am new on this site and so far I am feeling I may have a chance, for me, 'One breath at a time'

thanks gypsy......i'm so sorry you lost your mother to that terrible disease...........i'm really glad you remembered her in a good way today.......sometimes that can be so hard....the grief and sadness can sometimes overwhelm those good memories....but for me, every day it's easier to remember how good she was and appreciate the good memories i have of her......

That is a wonderful picture and I'm glad you have that beautiful memory of your mama. I feel the good memories are a gift, something to pull out and help us thru the saddest times. I'm also much more aware of making memories and being grateful for time spent with family and friends.
